I believe this is what set him off.

If it hit your stop then the 6 points must be imaginary lol.

Soft stop was good answer for me.

But anyway thanks

Sellers are becoming more proactive. Seeing huge bids getting hit like nothing.

Cash hit 1440. Lot of longs had that number as their upside target.
and finally the post in question:
Quote from blaster1:

Short 31, stop 32. Target new lows.
As you can see, I was short biased all afternoon. I didn't consider the trade in question to be just another scalp and I gave a reasonable target in advance (new lows). My stops range anywhere from 1-2 points or more if needed depending on a setup. I know that nonbelievers won't accept anything as a proof short of my audited statement so instead of arguing I'm putting this matter to rest. I promise you won't see another trade posted from me on this thread.

Blaster 1

Do not ever let anyone get you to this point.

There is always going to be people that will influence you in a negative way.

You must use these individuals and situations as a learning experience to become wiser as you are continuing on the road to reaching your goal.

That statement instantaneously deemed your entire existence here obsolete.

You think this is abuse? You think this is abuse you cocksucker? If you can't take this how can you take the abuse you get from the market? If you don't like it leave.

This journal was better when there was more commentary, less posting of simulated trades.

Who has time to post intraday anyway? And who actually believes that most of the posted trades are real? And who actually cares what other anonymous posters feel about them? C'mon already.

When I am trading, I have hardly enough time to write down the entry in my journal and place my stop. I really don't know how others have the time.

This is fine. Posting trades is not a requirement here. If they are posted though, they need to contain a hard stop, not a soft one in the interest of journal integity. I myself have been posting a hard stop for quite some time now and even at my level of experience, it is helping me. Now, please no more discussion of how to post. Thanks--Ishmael

"...need to contain a hard stop...." Why? TY! After all, your stops are 5+ points and others stops are near 1-2, surely enough to justify an extension of a stop by 0.25!. What's a better way is to ask people to finish a posted trade in real-time, otherwise to be discarded. Nothing wrong with NOT using a hard stop ImO :)

Ah, another fun day on the ES Journal thread. :D

Boy, look at what I've been missing.

Such a minor thing to become such a major item.

FTR, blaster1's as honest as anyone else around these parts (and much more honest than jack hershey and his crew, at least "b" calls his). It's very easy to set a stop, have price hit it (but not trade through it), and then turn and move in the direction of the original trade.

Anyways, good trading. :)
