well, in volente's defense, he did call a short at 1417, clear as a day. volente, please consider a string of these so we can see r10 in action in real time...thnx

I'm surprised he did too. Way to go Volente. Perhaps he finally recognized that the way to salvation is by following the clarity path :D

I want you to learn to fish, not just eat what is given.

But now I don't recall where he said to place the stop.

Vol, the ones that understand what you banging on about would like to seek advice not on entry, but on trade management. I try to offload 2/3 position when I see histo reverting/forming an opposite pattern/at times gut feeling.

How do you decide when to scale out? TY!

iloveoptions,
what are the mechanics of your trades?

do they all work perfectly from open to target?

or do you have to manage the trade? with something like a protective stop?

I'm sorry, I have to plead old age and faulty memory here, Could you please refresh my memory as to the set of rules you use to make your trades?

thanks in advance.

yes I too would like to know this. I have shared my methodology. Show us what you have. Better yet try teaching some of us.

Well guru volente, I will always be a student of the markets AND prefer to leave the crystal clear - before the fact - teachings to you. B1S2, please help this guy out.

lot of factors, if there is a gap to fill? is there news to be annnounced later ? etc. i will post more later this evening, I will almost always scale out some at 2 to 3 points in case the trade reverses. Right now I took some off at 1414, and my stop is moved to break even.

i'm looking at a possible h and s with a right shoulder to be made at ~1416 before we go down from here. If it materializes then I will be watching for a gap fill
