This is the kind of day the market needs to get back to 1400.

Shake out the weak longs, we will prob keep shaking till 2:45, than a late day rally.

Quote from detective:

Probabilities are pretty high that this is a trend day where the market just grinds lower all day and ends near the lows. Going long here and holding for more than a scalp is a low probability play.
Detective, you may be looking at a different time frame and that's fine with me, however I disagree about the low probability plays. Out of 20+ trades I did so far I only had 3 losers and a couple of scratches.

True, I don't think this is a great spot for a swing trade short, but it is a high probability short till the close. I would put a stop at 1359.25 and close out the position at the cash close. We've been churning near the lows for the last 2 hours, bearish pattern unless a buy program comes in. That's the only thing I see saving the day, that's what the stop is there for.

too much squabblin on here, you newer guys are gumming up the thread, gonna be hard to rally this mrkt with djt making new lows all day

Ammo we need the dollar to recover (I am seeing some sort of top on the euro), which will send oil down and transports back up. This is the scenario I am looking at before close.

gwac, the euro banks are in meetings now to possibly cut int rates, that should do what your saying for oil and dollar
