increase, there is no rule here,it might do that for 3 days and then not work,and then may switch over to where they both go up and down together, so watch it, if it works that day use it, but be prepared for a switch
 
youve got a mini h&s from late oct,53 v to 43, 10 points, now went to 33, so what happens after a h/s plays out, does it bounce,continue,?

Just saw this...when you say "a select few weighted stocks controls the index" do you mean the top 15 to 20 stocks based on market cap --- e.g., xom, ge, msft, and so on?
 
I'm looking forward to some major short opportunities this week ... Resistance zones for the coming week on ESM8-

1388-1392... I'd love to see a wedge structure fill out here tomorrow or Tuesday for a very strong move to the downside. If this zone fails then -

1416-1422... serious resistance here... I doubt the market makes it through this without a significant pullback.

Comparable zones on NQM8 the are a little bit rougher-

1903-1911

1933-1955

As always, I'll be looking for smaller timeframe structure to pinpoint possible turning points within these zones.
