Quote from Lawrence Chan:

Yes. ES can move independently from the stock prices forever.

That's how Fed stepped in in 87 to stop the crash.

Once someone drive the index future to a direction that is so overpriced (or underpriced), tons of program buy/sell orders will kick in to "lock-in" the profit between the future contracts and the underlying stocks.

Remember one simple fact - 95% of the outstanding shares in stocks are valued by the change of hands of the remaining 5% shares traded day-in, day-out.

remember because of BSC the fed is watching the investment houses very closely for now. This is far from over not to mention
"moral hazard" (will the scumbags be encouraged to steal again).
If you were long BSC above $10.00 you are pretty pissed off and probably consulting a lawyer or two. Vix at 23.10 down .15 on a bad jobs number???

"one price" - I like that :)

BTW, someone is forcing a swing low here across 15-min, 30-min, 1 hour chart.

The downside this morning couldn't even put prices below the S1 on the
RTH (S1=1363.25) or the
24hr (S1=1362.75)

this is often good for a lift

trackstar,
I don't really watch the vix, what kind of a flag, bullish or bearish for ES
and what length bar are you looking at?

put the spy on a 30min. You will see it. VIX is a huge flag, monthly chart.

Quote from Spectre2007:

Camtasia can't seem to handle full trading session recordings.. so the video is stopped here.. and being rendered.

Little over 2 hrs in length. Might do a closing session video.. going to go get a early lunch.

Thanks Spec, looking forward to it.

1408 SPX is where bears will start another leg down

Looks like it. After 2 days of consolidation, we are breaking out to the upside...
