I've been sitting on my hands all day, waiting to short from 1338. Got within 2.5 points of it, but never filled. Just went short 1/4 position at the close from 1332 so if we gap down I'll have a little piece. Still got my sell orders in at 1338 for more size.

The short train left the station without me Friday (but I had a good excuse, sick in bed with a bad cold). I'd hate to miss it again. I'm expecting a retest of 1280 this week, and possibly lower.

If Blackguard's source can arrange a little pop so I get filled at 1338, I'll be pleased. :)

welcome back, mbusch!

i'm fighting a cold myself, but getting the better of it, thanks to a fizzy drink called IMMUNE DEFENSE. it really works (and no,this is not a paid endorsement).:D

any1 here besides me think we're going to have a sharp rally?

I think we'll get a little pop tomorrow. We're ultra-short term oversold.

We've got doji's or near-doji's on all 3 indices. I think we'll bounce tmw a bit.

thats why i try not to trade between 11 and 1,just get beat up to often

After I saw this post I went back and analyzed my losses and found out that 75% of them have been during that time frame.. It is un@#$# believable what you learn when you make enough mistakes.

I am just going to work out for now on during that time frame from now on.

Wow.

Off topic - I know this is the ES thread.

Is the NQ easier to trade than the ES? Just looking at it visually, it seems a lot smoother and more "harmonic" if you will.

was tempted to hold that 30 sell but am expecting gap tommorrow & would`nt be surprised if it`s north.

edit: just for the record, this anticipation of a gap had nothing to do with dopy`s post above.

LOL @ the edit!

im thinking thereshould be upside today. Im sure at some point today we'll be up by 8 points or so. Not sure whether they'll hold it though.

I am trading both NQ and ES. They are a bit different, at some days NQ is less correlated with another index futures than you might thougt. It opens some days very interesting plays.

If you are giving tight stops on ES (tight in my understandnis is anything less than 20 ticks) you can have better results with NQ where the stop runs are not as wild.

Btw, if you want smoother ES, look on Eurostoxx 50. It has liquidity of ES and is smoother. They look like twins but Stoxx 50 is tamer and ride it is for me easier.

30 and below show accumulation (1 hour is basing ImO also), also I see daily histo forming a premature bullish formation, maybe Ben does have something up his sleeve, we'll find out at 9am EST if he does.

Long long time ago the short margin was 100% and then raised to 150% after some sort of crisis.

It has the effect of short squeeze while doing absolutely nothing to the whole system.

Not sure if US gov will choose to do that if its stock market keeps going lower. :(
