You have to be careful buying these breakouts on days like this, it is often a trap. Nice call on the short side Apex.

This stair-stepping action down often portends strong afternoons. It is as if the market is groping for a bottom, and then, between 11-1, starts stepping back up (Wyckoff springs are a tip-off), and once the buy programs kick in, the market starts climbing back to where it started.

So far, this is what Livermore would have called a "natural" rally. Non-PETA people would perhaps call it a "dead cat bounce," but I prefer Livermore's title, since I like most animals.

I see little evidence of committed buying.
