I've asked, but they never say. You can try searching for it, as I have, but I have not found an actual explanation.

It may be an inside joke...
We've already explained it a million times.

It just gets tired when some new person shows up asking "what's the rule of 10"?

I've even listed the exact search parameters you have to use to find the posts by volente_00. Do some work and actually try reading back through the journal. Nobody wants to hold the hand of every new person who clicks on the thread. If you want that, give puretick a try.

Volente_00,

Concentrate now, let’s get back on topic. Let's start with your original question.

blah, blah, blah

All the best.

Just,
My2cents

I see you're still playing around with non prescription drugs.

We've already established that volente_00 was posting the "rule of 10" before you were even a member of Elite Trader.

Get a clue.

Classic Rule of 10 Buy Signal.

It's a T Day, so I'm looking to go Long.

The Market drops 10 pts from 1328.00 to 1318.00.

I go Long at 1318.00, with a Stop at 1316.00

Classic Rule of 10 Sell Signal.

It's a M/W/F Day, so I'm looking to go Short.

The Market rises 10 pts from 1335.00 to 1345.00.

I go Short at 1345.00, with a Stop at 1347.00

(In all cases the signals have a suggested initial cover of 2pts, while moving your stop to breakeven +1 tick if you want to hold)

There is a second Rule of 10 Short Signal at 1352.00

Map it out for a month or two before you start actually trying to trade it.

Good luck.

KPT,

I never was bloomberg certified, just because I didn't have the time working as a grunt 60-80 hours a week. They also offered it to us free as we had an account/terminals. So don't let free entice you too much. If you have the time, it is definitely worthwhile, but also make sure you enjoy college. Its the grass is always greener on the other side syndrome...When I was in college I couldn't wait to get out of school and start making some money. I think most of us here now wish we were back in school meeting the coeds :)
