If you are using daytrading SPY to mimic the ES you will be frustrated and disappointed in the resuls. There is too much noise in the SPY and it leads or lags depending so if you get in SPY based on ES you are fucked to start with.

My suggestion is get a good simulator. IB has one. Rather then fuck with SPY just practice the system on ES with the simulator.

When you are ready start doing the ES with 2 cars.

Actually I rarely trade es and mostly spy. I have very short targets on spy. When I say system one of my signals said buy which I did. I would usually take quick profit but my stop was hit. This was spy, I had one es trade earlier. Thanks, good trading.
