Where will this bear market rally likely end?

Three different projections suggest around 1425-1426:

1. 1370.75 minus 1255.50 = 115.25. Added to the recent swing low of 1310.25, one gets 1425.50.

2. A 50% retracement of the downmove from contract high (1598.50) to contract low (1255.50) is 1426.

3. A 2/3 retracement of the move from 1511 to 1255.50 is around 1426.

The last time I made such calculations, I was on vacationing on Bourbon Street and was only to profit a little, financially.

This time will be different.

Interesting, thanks.

I am not an expert but I believe these type of projections have more weight if taken from the index itself.

If you get the equivalent level then it's a go.

Still it's rare to see a neckline broken through in a bearish slanted H&S formation...so my number is Sp1390, ES 1385/95 appx

We will find out soon enough...

:)

Food for Fodder.

Feds big push for keeping US business afloat run to 1424 with two major resistance lines or head to 1260 with a lame .25 cut...... we shall see.

A little old school for you.

also wanted to add that if we have our .50 cut we shall see a temp rally and then watch out.

pretty amazing that a lot of us have the same outlook as far as the post fed move and resistance zones.... is this a good thing or a bad thing? :)

Dont really care....

first zone I am watching is 1383-1386 (critical resistance)

A break above this zone and I will be loading up a heavy short at 1426-1436 for a massive decline.

Everyone else is posting their charts, so here... I'm trying out Ninja Trader and am liking it alot so far.

Anyway, I am seeing 1397-1402 as the strongest resistance zone on my chart but am open for taking shorts outside that if divergence shows up. If the zone and divergence coincide that It'll be beautiful :D

OOPS I meant 1397

I don't like the colour used for histo, too dark :)

1502? Are you trying to confuse me JSS?... I already screw up the first 2 digits when posting enough, you don't need to mess with me!:p

I'm not as much of a fan of the look of the histo on this program. My last one automatically shaped the bar tops to give the bumps a smoother look and there were no gaps... I might need to try messing more with the settings.

:edit: ahh, now i see what you meant... changed

Sorry, you obviously meant 1397, forget about it :)

You can e-mail NT tech support telling them what you require (mention previous program that you have used) and they most likely will e-mail you new codes to be replaced in indicator folder, they are pretty good in that area.

I know it's a matter of preference, though I would have thought that navy blue and black would blend too much and that might create a strain on the eyes, I AM a qualified photographer, trust me :)

Oh cool, thanks for the advice. I'm still on free-trial so they might be less likely to, but I'll give it a shot.
