it sounds like most folks are looking for a technical bounce.

back in late december, a few folks mentioned cashing out. i must admit, i also did so, expecting (and wanting) a nice, big, fat juicy drop.

well, okay i got it. now, powers that be, if you're listening, i'm ready for a rally, even if it's just a sucker one....:p

agree with short bias b/c of divergence, resistance, and seasonal factors. however... i'm second guessing myself and wondering if i'm biased b/c it's what i WANT to happen. i want a big, fat, juicy drop.

my response 12/26 to tommymoose's analysis of divergence and his drop expectation....

A few days ago I posted the calculations of another measured move that had 1310-1311 as a downside target.

In any case, there will be plenty of time if one wants to buy/cover all shorts. Bottoms usually require retest and confirmation. Patience in this business is indeed a virtue.

as i warned all on this board 70 pts ago we had not seen capitulation. as a recalled a few people laughed at me

duuude...

actually, i think most people agreed with you and argued your point to the only one who didn't (shall remain nameless).

as i recall, i made the point that we weren't near capitulation, that joe average was still fully invested. and, at the time, i was relishing a move lower...now i'm over it already.:)

Apex.. heres the GBP EUR.. chart..

as you can see the GBP gained strength with EUR weakness..

the EUR/GBP cross broke out... and now just coming back to earth..

I am buying EURGBP as we speak for a longer term trade... will be looking to add more long a bit lower and add to the position when I see confirmation.

filled at .74210

I know some people who are still laughing about someone calling a bear market back at 1270 a few years ago as well.

On the day after strong market drops (and today would fit that definition), the market tends on average ("average" meaning both mean and median) to retrace a little over 50% of the prior day's decline.
