1418 was last december's cash close, 7% on 1418 is 99 points...or 1517. 1 year t-bills giving 3.26%...

3.26% on 1418, equals 1464 on cash, for equities to stay competitive, market has to seem to register a higher rate of return on the index then t-bills...

cash closed today at 1453...around 10 points below..

5.13%..on 1418..equals 1490. Midway between t-bill rate and ideal rate of 7%, if it can't meet any of these benchmarks, then flight out of equities will occur early next year.

Ok, now THIS is brilliant. Elegant, provocative...Bravo.

Anyone else having trouble trading on Globex, or is it just ThinkorSwim's antiquated futures trading being down again?
Edit: Guess it was just them, but it is back up now.

Quote from JSSPMK:

Who got a sell signal at 1474 -73?
I did. After waiting for a 15-minute reversal bar, I plaed two short limit orders, one at 1472.50 and one at 1473.50. Profit targets were 1469.25 and 1465.25. Unfortunately, only my lower entry order (1472.50) was filled, and I covered at my PT1 for +3.25. Had my second entry order been filled, I'd have held the second unit for PT2 which we're approaching now for a very nice trade indeed, but it was not to be.

I'm presently flat, looking to go long on a 15-minute reversal bar down around 1464.

EDIT: My PT2 was just hit, but unfortunately I didn't get into that trade.
