that 1455/58 zone/area is shaping up as a nice right shoulder to a 15min IHS & a likely target for shorts to cover.

Countertrend in what context? In the longer view, the trend is down big-time.

Fortunately, I managed to avoid being stopped out...at least for now. Took a bit more heat doing that than I like, but like you said, it's a bitch.

At some point we're going to break out of this wedge to the upside for a big move. But for now, those tails at the top of the 15-minute chart certainly suggest that short is the place to be intraday today.

I'm gone this afternoon, so certainly don't feel comfortable holding any shorts past the close of RTH.

I had the same thought at about the same time. They often put a smiley face on the market in the last 30 minutes for the benefit of the CNBC talking heads. <sigh>

you can see the manipulated floor... I was watching it everytime.. this is a high rated pattern but when you see this.. time to get out.
