Hey Apex82,

Not an ES topic, but I remember your "going long now" call on oil quite some time back in the low $60's (charts and all)....just curious, did you scale out on the way up, or are you still long?

To an extent.
If you just sit on the sidelines and are scared to jump in due to lack of confidence then what will you ever accomplish in trading?

I'd rather trade with a controlled ego. Everyday I tell the market I am going to transfer some money from it to me. It's reply is..... you you wanna play b!tch ? I'm gonna rip you a new one and blow up your account. And my reply back is..... feel free to try, but I hold all the power to your ability to take my money and on any given day you are going to have to fight and if you are lucky you will take 2 to 3 points before I retreat and come back another day to spank you for 10 handles at the next fight.
The key is to live to trade another day, so simple in concept, so hard in reality for 95%.

Quote from Mins:

Are you for real? Im dead serious here because you sound like some 16 year old punk playing his paper account and telling every experienced trader in various threads how to trade.

And your whole prediction on the future - even though you are wrong with your intra-day predictions nearly everytime is all based on bollinger bands and SMAs.

If your for real and you know your shit then i apologize, but it leaves the question - if you do know what your talking about then why the paper account?

Seriously now, stop trying to be right all the time - you make yourself come across as a complete jackass - some humility once in awhile won't go amiss.

And please stop bashing the keys as you type telling experienced traders that their wrong and your right while in the meantime furiously hitting the mouse button executing your 1000 lots on your play account. I think its time you moved onto your next toy my little friend.

Bingo..........you nailed it.........well done Mins.

it`s about time someone aside from myself starts telling it like it is around here.

Impressive memory my friend.. ya I cant seem to find the post but I dont want to bother looking to long for it. But yes, I did in fact take that long on the 5th of may 07 that I talked about and was stopped out the next day! Reentered long on may 11th around 61.50 and rode that baby up till the 1st of august and closed out at about 72.50 . One of my best trades of the year on my position account in terms of R:R and net profit. However, my personal best was wheat this year.

Easier said then done... but 100% accurate.

Which also reminds me of your Nat Gas trade setup. I'm long the ETF (UNG) which has been chopping up and down for a few weeks now. I'm not too worried about it though - from a fundamental standpoint at least I'd think either HO needs to pull back significantly or NG needs to be off to the races already.

Been reading for a few pages here and this journal seems intriguing... would like to know something as sometimes I have free time to waste (or spend productively if I get lucky).

Is it worth it backtracking to page 1 and reading the journal? I notice there are a lot of live calls here that wont do me much good, but there seems to be an educated lot of posters.

Sorry if I am cluttering the thread. If I get a response in 30 minutes, i will delete my post.

Thanks.

LOL, what the hell makes you thihnk you're cluttering up the thread?

I've personally recommend that every newbie backtrack to the beginning of the thread, if only so that you can study and understand B1S2's trading methodology.

If that's too much, just go back over the last 100 pages or so, that should get you started.

Considering that trading is a journey composed of years of study, it's up to you to determine how you use your time.

Good trading,

JJ

I have to agree.. I am still long nat gas and it seems to be building a nice base with an inverted H&S... however it is taking to long. I am looking for a move to 11.50-12 on the futures market but I may ditch the position if it does not breakout soon. It has an explosive ta structure with a lot of confluence but there is just no news to drive it. Just my instinct taking over... sometimes its wrong but if I feel uncomfortable I usually will close out and ask questions later.

I don't like posting in threads when I'm not directly on topic. Sort of common curtesy i'd expect others to have I guess. Especially in useful threads so as not to sidetrack.

I will start from the beginning. It's not the work that is daunting, I just like to know before I begin if someone has already taken the journey, if its worth it to take. Other than that, I'm not a person who wants anything on a silver platter.

Thanks for the response.
