No position on still. I still feel that we need to go down and retest the lows in the 1490's. If wrong that's fine. I am on the sidelines and will have only lost opportunity. :)

Quote from JSSPMK:

Hypothetically I would take the other side, I see USD sticking it up JPY's booboo

Weekly starting to show a bullish pattern in histogram though yet early stages.

Banzai not yet, TY!

Closing out long stocks taken starting last monday... critical times on the market and odds are high that we head to new lows.

No entry to short the index's yet.. staying patient

How do you view 'critical times'?

It's interesting how a man's entire character can be revealed through a single sentence.

It's apparent that someone here is guilty of the sixth deadly sin: ENVY

Quote from mbusch 10-26-07 08:19 PM:

P.P.S. Who's this <a href=http:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_deadly_sins#Envy_.28Latin.2C_invidia.29 >narcissistic jerk who calls himself my2cents?
There is no one better qualified to answer that question than the jerk himself. I take no umbrage.
As I have mentioned in the past I am the man on the other side of your trade who is relieving you of your funds.

Today's lesson: never forget that sage bit of wisdom: "A bird in the hand....."

Quote from mbusch:

The SPY Nov 155 calls I bought yesterday are now up 75%. Raised my stop-loss in case something bad happens

my raised stop-loss was hit on those SPY Nov 155 calls during the intra-day dip. So I'll have to settle for a 43% realized profit instead of the 87% unrealized profit they would have had by the close

Keep those stops where I can reach them and I will cut you everytime.

Who wants to see today's report?

Here just a taste.

So long as you continue to leave me with 43% realized profit per trade before you do, I don't mind. However...

Today's lesson: never forget that sage bit of wisdom: "A bird in the hand....."
Point well taken.

What would the effects of a 1/4 point rate cut be on the market?

The probability of a 1/4 point cut is already priced into it, and the probability of a 1/2 point is partly priced into it as well.

If the fed ends up cutting 1/4 point, shouldn't it stay flat or even drop, since there is some speculation of a 1/2 point cut as well.
