Certainly looks strong from the time of yesterday's close. I'm not trading the intraday charts though and I am looking at the daily at a minimum. I would expect the bounce from the 2 hour here to be short lived. :)

TY!

nice try,son..........guess my post about "i know you" pissed you off ,eh".....nailed it on the head....did`nt I ? LOL

was not short at support.....but long from 02.50...i missed the move down.....read the posts.
one short today at 07 down to the 50% fib, covered at 01.75.

their are entitities at work that you need to be aware of if you ever want to graduate from book reading & become the man that you desperately covet.................................i know you! :)

prove me wrong & make a call or two today on the indicies.

my prediction is you will not even attempt it because you were "out of your office" today,right.......................i know you :)

seriously, take care & the best of luck on your progress....that`s something i would not begrudge anyone because i know how difficult & painful this game can be.

What kind of trader "misses the move" down after spouting that he is extremely negative about the market and this country? There were sell signals everywhere on the multiple moves down. If you have an opinion, have enough confidence in your judgment to go with it (and stop worrying about the boogeyman PPT or whether or not some hedge fund manager/"market wizard" is short or not).

You want calls, as if calls matter? I don't like tooting my own horn, but I HAVE made calls on the indices lately. I bot at 1494 overnight over the weekend (posted on another thread--check it out, please) when "crash" talk was the buzz, sold at 1515, and on Tuesday afternoon said that the current rally was "anemic" and that the 1490's (iow, a retest) were imminent (that means that it is about to happen). I sold multiple times on the way down yesterday morning. If that is not enough for you, too bad.:p

I owe you nothing. You owe me an apology.

I will not waste any more of my time or the space in Buy1Sell2's journal on you. If you would like to talk some more, please PM me. Until then, good luck to you.

short or long now?

chris

sorry Chris it is not that simple.

My trades are made up of the entry, the expectancy and the exit.

the entry comes as a contrarian in order to get the fill at my price.

The expectancy is, that if the surge does not arrive quickly I will bail for a tic or two or zero usually. occasionally I will absorb a one tic loss but rarely two.

The exit is on a surge on greater contrarian volume than the entry to enable me to clear on one tic.

Looking to be short today but that's logic. Is it possible that these rallies are just short covering, nothing like a lightning fast bear market cover, just my $.02. :)

"Is it possible that these rallies are just short covering..."

Accumulating a line on balance = hard to violate % risk loss when averaging.

basically looking at orderflow and frontrunning more orderflow.

use to do it in yen when it was more volatile then now. Its a good system, works well with volatility, but most days aren't as easy money.

Well done Chris, you have described it better than I can.

I view the ES as rolling momentum with long or short bias (rolling momentum on a bigger frame)

So far, nothing new here, but by seeing it this way I can largely trade it as momentum without the confusion that trend brings in the same frame.
Each leg ending with a thrust.

If we have a surge and then no thrust and the price has zipped through a previous ledge then I assume that I am on board a trend of some sorts and it is easy tics.

Anyway, one way or another I am taking home those tics each morning.
I do not care how and where they come from.

You have probably gathered by now that I worship at the shrine of account size.
