Quote from avarus:

Thing is, when your account gets to a certain $ amount, you will have to average up and down.

Interesting.
What $ figure do you have in mind avarus?

That all depends on what you are trading. Hard to deploy certain account size for a single trader and be able to monitor it all.

You've got linear (the trend) and nonlinear (the volatility). Use them. Gaps are filled for a reason. When, we don't know. But market makers can hold trades on their books longer than most retail traders can. Perhaps there are a few here.

this behavior with fomc just a week away tells me we are in bad trouble with investors traders losing faith in the fed.......people are starting to see the big pic with CB`s & our gov`t debasing our currency right in our faces.....stating that they will not support the USD whatsoever.
i`ve never been so bearish on the market & our country as a whole as i am now.....with our gov`t selling us out.

i don`t like missing a move like this in my position acct as i usually leg in early so i do not miss my mid/long term bias but i tried being too perect on this one & it cost me.
it`s sometimes easy to misconstrue multiple time frames as your torn between two directions.
even if we take out the 27.50 swing hi,i`ll mantain bearish bias all the way.

when pain is inflicted at different levels, not just in a financial sense, its expected behavior to move away from that stimulus.

the market structure knows precisely how different participants will behave when exposed to pain.

unless your into S&M.
