Quote from fearless9:

Some of the postings during the week just past and especially over the weekend are amongst the funniest I have ever read.

It seems the more authoritative and dogmatic the writing style, the funnier they become.
Fun as they seem to me and a few other readers, they must be terribly confusing to newbies who have come here to learn about trading the ES.

It is as though some posters here believe that as they dream and write, then so the mighty ES will follow and obey.

Dreams occur in your sleep be it in your bed or as you walk your way through life.
Either way, you do not need to close your eyes in order to sleep.

In order to "follow your dream" (what a ridiculous expression) you will need to leave the perceived security of dreamworld and see the real world of trading the ES for what it is.

How do we measure the journey, you ask.

Well, your postings will be as good a guide as any.

perhaps you can be a little less ambiguous as to whom it is you`re referring to?

all spooz top is saying is all indicators are screaming a bear market is coming from a low to put to call to $90 oil to terrible earnings to $770 gold to war coming to the middle east to almost no bears left on earth. did i miss anything? but he's also saying he could care less if the market rises are falls as he's a trader. traders care less if the market rises are falls they trade what the market says. for instance early last week i was long the china stocks and then i went short them when they were topping. i could care less if they were rising are falling as i just want to catch a ride

BINGO......

fearless9,i don`t think you should be criticizing anyone on this thread for making a call or sharing their views on what it is they are observing....for whatever reason you come hear to belittle anyone with your semi intellectual rants,it evidently serves some purpose for you to do so.
from what i`ve read from your previous posts, your time frame is measured in seconds...desperately seeking "tics" or trading scared is how i view it....if that works for you then more power to you & won`t criticize you for it.....just as you should not criticize those for looking at the bigger pic & seeking a "true" move.

reading price action has always been an exceptional strength of mine to go along with my weaknesses.....i post here to "share" what it is i`m seeing through PA....NOT because i`m trying to impress anyone or trying to will the market in my direction......i want what the market wants & will allow the market to tell me that through PA.you obviously can not read price action or your time frame would not be measured in seconds to a minute or two.

if you have anything of value to share...then share it rather than behave arrogantly & condescending to the other posters here with these vague references of having everything all figured out.if you don`t have anything positive or of value to share.....that`s fine too......but don`t come here to criticize those that do without backing it up.if you`re going to talk the talk....then you better walk the walk.

How do you guys use big timeframe ES charts? The rollover and constantly changing premium seem like they'd screw up where the TL's and support zones are, but maybe I'm just missing something. IMO SPX is the way to go... the long-term trendline seems clearer -

Quote from Spooz Top:

I am referring to all posters who are not committed by their trades to the ES but pretend to be.

To be a chartist and a commentator is one thing and often very useful for newbies until they can gather themselves together.
But to leave people with the impression that the Poster is deeply committed to the ES by virtue of his/her trades when they are not( fantasy trader) is of little use to the Reader and highly corrosive to the Poster. Self destructive in fact.

Quite frankly I am surprised to see this post from you ST.

Commitment to the ES offers Traders a glorious opportunity to make real profits.
Not just a few bucks here and there, but live altering income day after day after day.

People who have chatted with me via PM know exactly what I am talking about.
It requires a radical change in thinking away from the beliefs commonly shared among ETers.

I have been through all this before and it lies within my posts, but the core belief is "no losing days"

Once you accept this belief your mind then opens to the "how am I going to do this"
How am I going to see my trades rolling through the T&S filtered to >100, each and every morning that the CME trades.

Who are these people who commit >100 lots per strike I wanted to know when I began.
Why are their strikes in odd sized packets and why do they fall where they fall.
Why do I not use volume. Is there something that I do not know I used to ask of myself.

Anyone trading 100+ packets must be committed to the ES and I wanted to join them.

yes......but who is it that you`re referring to?

& if i misquoted your style of trading...please let me know.

Guys, can we get back on track here?

Everyone saw your great call at the apex of the turn Spooz, enough already.

Plenty of trades to be made across the board in the financials today, the present is all that matters, the past is gone ... I'm just pissed that I can't stay up all night and trade EU like Volente_00 does (not that he trades it, but that he stays up "all night"), excellent moves setup last night in the wee hours.

Oh well, maybe when I quite my "day job".

Good trading,

Jimy Jam
