i agree...i'm hoping, though, that my stated desire to close my long position will, of course, have the effect of driving the market up.

actually, why do you say "pros should be getting long towards the close"?

... and there's the rub.

Traders must change their frame of reference, and either become intimately familiar with the tools you use to determine entry/exit, or become just as familiar with their weapons of choice if they hope to achieve success using your basic methodology as a consistent intra-day trader.

The only methodology I personally would use in my trading, BTW.
