Ok, there is more than just me here. II hate when market has no direction.

Currently long 1538.25 Sl 1536

Its a friday and the market is quiet as well... I'm long as well (at least for today, i still think we need to test the gap from fed day)

Edit: just lightened up (1:01EST) on a couple, half position now long.
Edit2: and out 1:15EST, will be looking to get short at 1542.

The market always has a direction, you just have to learn to see it. Even at choppy periods like right now, it still has a direction.

In some ways he was a trash-talker, but in others Progie was absolutely dead on the money.

My bias is Short, FWIW.

Short ES @ 1538.75 (current price 1539.50).

Good trading,

JJ

P.S. Just got back in from a chiropracter's appt, so sorry to see the bust-up, especially after I complimented the Journal on being able to hold such divergent views on the market place. I wasn't just ass-kissing, ya know, the only way to really know the markets is to interact with others who do.

To all you longs, Vix just took a hell of a tumble. :)
Not nearly enough.
For 8 trading days the ES has had about a 30 point range, and we have spent almost all of it in a 20 point range. This equates to a VIX in the 13 range, but it is close to 18 right now (and the forward futures are 19+). Either option traders are being slow to react to the new market environment, or they are telling us the boredom of the last 8 days will not continue.

Yeah, not sure what happened there at about 13:19 EST, when it spiked down to around 17.25 on the 1min. It's now back to where it was ... 17.60-ish (edit).
