so busy laughing i forgot to make my point, two points actually.
all this think for yourself crap is just that...crapola. everybody learns from SOMEBODY, be it a guru or a guy writing a book or anekdoten with his tips for struggling traders (good thread, by the way, thanks j). we are all learning and those who say think for themselves are WAY more seasoned that all (dare i say "us") newbs. so don't hate on the beginners who are trying to get a clue.
all the basics anekdoten states in his thread, for example, while basics to those of us who have been trading awhile, may be news to those just starting out and may be the tip they need to become profitable. (to clarify: i consider myself seasoned trading stocks, newb trading futures).
let people get it how they get it. patience with those of us who have traded futures less than a year would be welcome. when you go to complain about followers, etc., try to remember how YOU learned to trade futures. what book, what class, what mentor helped you? maybe looking at one person's trading style, complete with charts and live trades, helps some folks to "get it". don't begrudge them that.
