...yes....
....the environment during the time he started that thread was very different.... than it is now.....
.....much lower volatility....
.....looking back.... i would have only entered spreads only when overbt/oversld conditions were extreme on daily charts....

I remember that thread.. optioncoach was a great teacher, I learned a lot. I also almost wiped out one of my accounts on selling one of those OTM vertical SPX spreads..... that is how I learned to take a loss asap... those babies can get real nasty. I vowed to never sell premium again..

1494-95 for US open.

I doubt if it will get to the level quoted above, it's drifting down slowly. There is no good news for it to bounce up to 1494 level by the time US market opens. Let's see how it all pans out.

Good trading to all:p

but are too timid to post. [/B]

Hey Saxon, how goes? Some of us are not too timid to post, we are just absorbing/learning with a view to giving later on. I like to read the comments on this journal which I find very interesting but personally I am following Spyder's journal, it's an amazing journey! I also keep an eye on volente's rule of 10.

Hey folks, don't be too harsh on Porgie( brotherben), he's harmless, if you don't like reading what he writes, simply place him on ignore. No need for name calling or dishing abuse.
Peace!

Here is a fact for intraday traders eminis.........news does not matter....see your signal take your signal......always have stops in place same as always....can never lose more than any other time...if market stop works as designed. ...i never had a stop failure in a few thousand times...very, very few traders can master the above. Why will your broker require less money for intraday? Less risk....take your choice, it is your money..but don't present yourself to be an intraday trader when you convert the losing intraday into " i will hold this one overnight" ..you just became a position trader also......few can master intraday....no pure intraday traders seen here...no big deal, just don't confuse the 2...u either are or u r not.......

You sure you don't want to prolong the agony?

Why are you Short bias? ... do you see a downtrend someplace?

Good trading,

JJ

It worked out for ya. I for one, wouldn't try to catch those reversals, but I hope you took your profits while everyone else was sleeping.

Yeah that's true, except for the fact that he changes aliases more often than these women in NYC change their men ...

bond market indicating 50 basis now, see how its sold off a lttle to 112-21/32. As the bond market tests 112 even stops, ES should test 1500 again.

Looks like I am going to have to be a bystander today. It seems IB has a backend software problem they recently introduced in their latest version of tws and now my buttontrader front end does not work properly.
