I am up $330 for the day. My price target got hit 4 times before my profits were made. Considering the range was coast to coast, I got off beautifully.

For the idiot comment,hey I got thick skin and if you look at my post from Monday morning I did predict the market to be higher today and surely deep in green. I just did not expect that coast to coast tide. Still $330 is not bad.

...was long from 86.25 added at 94 ....
no stop in place....
... had to restart computer due to multitasking.
.. when system was back up.... was down at 94 .... aaaaaagh .... :(
closed out add on at b/e....
closed original at 89.50 ...
.... wasted day because of one mistake....
.... it'll probably rest at 88.50 ....
...reason for long was completion of W-V pattern on daily chart.....make or break time
.... will look to get long again.... for longer-term...
... just dont want to risk a loss on the day after losing extra profit due to mistake.
 
elovemer, if stop is in place, does it reside on your computer (lost if computer goes down) or at the broker? Not 100% of this myself - I had better check. I keep trading desk phone# close by. If computer crashes I call trading desk. to either close out trades or make sure stop is in place.
 
.... i think it stays on the computer.....
.... unfortunately i was using mental stop ...... :-(

here is the problem with stops...it is either get so far out you kill your r/r.....or you get too close and it stops out and you are rattled and won't enter the great one.......many times there is a fakeout before a true breakout......stops are the hardest achievement of all...entering with the price is easy...mental stops are not for those who are serious about intraday trading...
 
alright, vol, I am coming 60 miles north and expect prompt payment...I lost a bundle on your 10:30 call....lol i worked as a low paid secretary today..as usual....just can't break the pattern.......but, ....system works....all day every day......never trade times, only price......even though CMT 9:00 reversal is 87% for 6 yrs...I have bought u books and sent u to school and u keep chewing the book covers off....:D :cool:
 
by the way here is last gems for volente today........when we are told that dead charts are no good for system /testing development intraday speaking, this is one for you........all of your chart is dead all of the time except for the live bar.......zoom out not in.......V TURNS ROUNDING TURNS....

.... what do you think about volume ?
it seems that all the drops have heavier volume while the ups are on low volume.....
what do you think ?
think we will see another big drop before arriving to bull river ?

Isn't that logical? Accumulation has to be controlled otherwise you simply won't get desirable fills (assuming very large orders), but when market goes into a possible bearish phase it creates various levels of panic selling on top of daily disposal orders for that day from companies wishing to lock in profits or whatever they have on their mind. My 2c anyway.
