I just sold 147700. I don't have any feel for this area... too late to buy.

state of trendlines.. basically those trendlines have to hold otherwise 42-44 is possible..

nonfarm payrolls, I doubt people will get short... and short covering is the next thing.. vix is just making another tic low..

so upward bias..

This is a day-trade, but I may be willing to hold into nonfarm. Looking for a failure as we approach the day's highs.

the break above 80 should have happened, in the AM, and this seems just engineered to run upside short stops.

plus your short vol, so this ES trade would hedge that a little.

Iza covering my long for the am. Gotta run out for lunch quickly.

Someone asked here it is. I can't do this reqularly because execution box has restricted in/out access to internet. So to post is a pain in the rear.

heres the historical record for the recent bottoms, if you look at the 'tails' and subsequent events, it means this upside move should fail at some point... around 94-96 then come back down to test 1442 for a double bottom...

so in the future we should see 1442 most likely.

Glad to see you finally got some breathing room on that 1430 DNT.

Quote from Spectre2007:

But the key concepts in ES, are creating your support and resistance zones, and realize that price gaps when the zones get bounced off of or breached, and the price gaps to the next closest resistance/support zone. Stay away from making trades in between these zones, since most of the time the probability is your stop loss gets hit.

Thanks Spec

THis is a great fundamental concept, that was explained clearly (psychology behind it etc), or some parts in
mastering the markets by Tom Williams
