It took something to buy into this afternoon's decline. I just didn't have it in me--I didn't feel it was a high odds play, and after nailing this morning's decline, rise, and decline, I just didn't want to mess with a great day. That is something I need to work on.

I am seriously thinking about starting a journal on FT (just for my own benefit). I keep a journal by hand, complete with trades and observations, but my handwriting is so poor and so slow it would be easier just to type it already.

I went neutral at SPX:1505 [1499 carried] on a DNT [double no touch] this afternoon. Expires Aug 24; SPX 1430/1580; 130/250 to scale. Loss of 130 debit if either barrier is touched priot to expiration. Payout includes premium at risk.

I hope I'm not the only one here who doesn't fully understand this trade. Risk, if you find the time can you go over it piece by piece. I assume the SPX can't touch either 1430 or 1580 prior to 8/24. Is the premium 130K, and the payout 250K?
