They are trying to hold it into the close... but not seeing much buying yet. A perfect scenario would be a gap down of a few points and immeditatly reversal on the open. Allowing to get a long position on with minimal and let it run for the entire trending day. These zones offer enough reward that there is no point in trying to catch this knife. Wait for it to tip its hand.... Any break below would be very bearish and would expect 1492 if not lower very soon.

ES initial overnight performance bond is $3500 per, with overnight maintenance of $2800 per.

40 x 3500 = $140,000 initial
40 x 2800 = $112,000 maintenance

This of course is outright performance bond values. Use of SPAN or other multi -instrument alternatives would be different, likely less, possibly much less.

3938 USD per contract for overnight at the broker I'm using. My account is well over 700k. I'd recommend no less than 250k in capital if you want to trade this much
