I messed up and took my eye off the ER2...in the next room sending someone a FAX...and my automated trailing 2-point stop took me out of my ER2 long at 846.30 for a 1.7-point gain. Looking to re-enter long again as soon as there's a confirmation.

Man oh man, does the ER2 move fast! Can't take your eyes off it for a minute like you can with the ES. Their respective behaviors remind me of the difference between my 12-week-old puppy and my 5-year-old dog.

AWWWW DARN! While I was typing this, I missed seeing the confirming bar I was looking for and missed a nice chance to re-enter. See, you can't take your eyes off this squirrely ER2 for more than about 30 seconds or you miss something important. :(

EDIT:
Okay, I'm back long at 846.50, one tick higher than I got out. Stop at 844.40, one tick below the bottom of the resistance zone. Let's just pretend this dipsydoodle didn't happen. :)

when you say confirming bar, are you just referring to a bar whose high is higher than the previous bar? and whose low is higher than the previous bar's low?

Sure. But not until after close. Charts run on non-surf box. Too much action right now. :)

FWIW; Entry based on the 15m flags have not yet been confirmed. And as I write YM entry 1 just triggered.


EDIT: YM stopped for -9 NET. ES, YM, NQ bear flags still intact and still valid. Although YM is turning into horz box.

For a confirmation to go long, wait for a price above the high of the last completed bar in a series of bars with monotonically non-increasing highs. Like this:

ya markets look weak.. I may be one day early... time will tell. Gotta trade with conviction though... The longer time goes by the more stops accumulating above and under the market.
