excellent trade jimmy. the chart pattern looks constuctive.

Thanks.

Now I was sure that was a classic H&S (reverse), but like O said, not too much volume there, so I'm out at +1pt, +5 on the day (time to get some lunch).

Have a great weekend, see you back in the fray next Tues.

JJ

Good day all.

Newbie here, finally understanding price action a little now. Been studying hard, roughly 14 hours drift by in front of these screens everyday (strange thing is that i actually enjoy every minute of it), feels good that i finally understanding even something. First couple of days were shaky and did not understand how to choose the correct entries.

Listened to all the advice and kept it to one contract at a time and tried to avoid revenge trading.

Hope to keep learning from you guys so thank you all for posting.

Hopefully in a few years i can start posting my entry points on this thread :D Until then i stick to the sidelines and keep learning from the masters.

70 points gained in YM today.

Enjoy the long weekend guys.

good luck to your trading, Mins.

you can also download metatrader 4 and watch price action in the evening when the regular markets are closed.

you will find that FX price action is very unique and chaotic, but it still offers price action to view.

I would stay away from forex, if your new, the price action is educational.

Thank you, i will try that Spectre. I am willing to learn anything that will help me understand price action.

I am currently learning market profile and also applied quantitative methods for trading and investment - just to help me manage risk in the long run. Don't know how these will help my trading but im giving everything a shot.

Moreover, on-going Java programming maybe to aid my trading long run.

Anything else i should be learning please feel free to reply.

JJ,

Looking at your chart, it seems like that entry was a no-brainer. I just wish I could spot them like that.

I hope to get back to the charts really soon. This is a very resourceful thread.

I just modified my charts today to include only NYSE hours, ie 9am to 4pm ET. Is that what everyone else is doing? My charts include the overnight session so they show no gaps, and of course long periods of sideways inactivity.
