Quote from romik:

I think it's worth noting that FTSE & DAX on 240 have both indicated a bullish stance prior to US markets actually following suit yesterday & today we saw all markets rally. I think this is interesting bit of info at best.

What about last wednesday Dax turned at support to the tick with the exact same setup while the ES plunged 8 pts. Probably due to bernake... bastard.

I will have a look, but didn't DAX follow suit at least? By no means I am saying that DAX leads all the time, I don't think I said that, sometimes yes it does, it's all relative to how our brain manages to interpret information from the charts.

...Buy1Sell2 stops outside the noise works well to keep you with the trade. You may give it all back depending on your time frame.

A method I use on DAX requires to place upto 30 pt (~20 ES points) stops for them to be outside the noise, keeping in mind average daily range of ES I could not use an equivalent of stops used trading DAX when placing stops trading ES. It's not so much an equivalent but average daily range in ES. I can place a 20 point stop on DAX & book 20-30 point profit very consistently, I have not yet found a way to trade ES intraday using a large stop.
