I really dislike this price action where it just sits between a VERY narrow range and does nothing for long periods of time.

Nice call Apex! I like to step in front of the train too - nice catch on that spike down.

I keep getting conflicting advice - one says enter the market when its quiet, the other says if its easy to get in then how great is your entry - any feedback on that?

Thanks man.. I actually had a better then average day today. Im happy with that after looking at todays PA. Knocked in 6 points on that trade on part of the position. The add on at 1401.50 was also nice. That was less then a point stop and yielded a 4+ point trade so far. I am still expecting another wave up, most likely in the morning. Well see how the data comes out tomorrow am.

I'll say this much - this type of trading day gives you all the time in the world to enter and exit! Not sure if I like that or not after the last couple of weeks.

Quote from Spectre2007:

ES is one of the easiest pairs of most instruments to trade, there seems to be a great deal of traditional followthrough moves, and it shows where it will go as long as your open to it.

For example today seems like its going to be a down day, a counter move in other markets as well, bonds may rally off the tame inflation news, dollar will get reduced, gold will fall, oil should fall also. Yen carry trades will get hit again. The macro movements seem to counter the previous days signals. It doesnt feel like the pain in equities is over yet.

Bonds = flat with upwards bias (UP, DOWN, UP)
Gold = flat with downwards bias (DOWN, HELD)
Oil = Dropped (DOWN)

Dow is currently looking Bullish, S&P is looking Bearish, both are holding the previous sessions Low.

Assesstment. If yesterday's Lows are breached, I'll look to sell the retracements, if yesterday's Lows hold, I'll look to Buy the Dip.

Good trading,

Jimmy

It's OK, after ~9 weeks Net win rate is a 100%, I am waiting for the right time to leave a position open & "walk away". Can somebody please post a monthly chart with BBs, thanks.

alright... markets moving up before the market as expected and no breach of the support zone last night. Still long and expecting a move up to 1422-1424. I will being reversing there and going short. We probably get there by monday close. Careful trading today, odds are lower for quality setups.

Expect resistance at 1413.50-1415.50
