LOL. Predicting whether or not an opening gap!

Much simpler to predict/play gap fills, imo.

Not laughing AT you apex... I just find the concept of predicting a gap or not a bit funny.

Play what you see,
Osorico :)

I have seen them run the er2 over 10 points in the last 10 minutes and then they gap it up over 10 points the next day many times... I am not trading it or anything just observing. Helps to get my analysis ready for the morning and anticipate.

Looking over the PA into the close and the volume it looks like a good probability of a gap to the upside tomorrow. Just watch...

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I just love ranting about what I see and what I am doing. Hopefully, if you find some overlap with your triggers or trading plan then it would give your trade better value.

Hi B1S2...

I was just thinking... When will you roll your H7 position into M7?

Thursday 3/8/07, is the "suggested" roll date by many brokerages, at least for intraday trading purposes.

I'll roll them tomorrow .

Question to B1S2: We have reached the 1407 area where you last added a long position. Any thoughts to covering that position, and looking to re-enter on a pull-back?

No. I will be looking to add when the dust settles a bit more and we see some more strength. I am looking to hold until at least 1550.

Yeah, I see what you see, and I took that Long in anticipation of the late session run-up.

Didn't happen. :(

... and because it didn't happen the market is poised to either Gap overnight or run-up off the Open.

At which point, I'll be taking what Osorico is saying to heart.

Good trading,

Alright, just finishing up some of my analysis before I hit the sack. Employment days use to be my most profitable days but lately I havent been doing so well on them. Anyways... I put in some more work and have narrowed it down to 2 main resistance zones. I am expecting this leg up to be a wave B of a higher degree and would expect at minimum a retest of the lows. The odds of this thing just blowing right up to the highs again is in the vicinity of 15%... low odds but always possible.

There is quite a few resistance areas so it was hard to narrow it down to such small zones. However, these are the zones I am watching for tomorrow.

1426-1428

1435-1437

The second one I like a little better due to the market being so close to the first one and I think it would be a nice scenario for them(the market) to run the stops above that recent major pivot high knocking out all swing and position traders and run it right up to the next zone. However, the first zone is extremely strong and very critical. It could easily just turn at that level. Watch for a 5 or 15min breakout reversal bar to show confirmation. The odds are that this B leg rally will end either tomorrow or monday.

Keep an eye on the 1430-1431.50 area as well.

..........Big runup premarket

ES just hit the first zone premarket and dropped about 3 points. Its got a head of steam, I am dipping a little short but I am going to wait for some more confirmation for my main position. Looks like a good chance of the second zone getting hit. They are going to try there best to run as many stops above the market as possible. I would like to see it hit in the first hour of trading. There is a scenario that if we open right in that zone we just sell off for the rest of the day.
