JJ,

One more thing. If it were true that trading the YM requires less skills than ES, NQ, ER2, then wouldn't it make good sense to trade the YM because it's easier, and as long as you are profitable, who cares. I'm not saying is easier, just demonstrating your flawed logic.

There is also a perfectly good explanation as to why the YM is chosen above the rest of the indexes but you know what, you don't deserve the answer, research it on your own...... <edit> tell you what, I believe in Karma, because it gives you more exit points.

Enjoy your drink.

Neet

Nope, you just gave an example of why it is correct ... and the reason why you would eventually want to develop the skill to trade the other indices, well, I realize you're new here, but do a little more reading and little less typing and you might find out.

As far as the karma thing is concerned, let's stay on topic here.

Later,

JJ

wow... things are heating up in this thread. Anyways, JJ keep up the work with the system backtesting, nobody makes it without putting in the work. I would suggest getting a sample of well over a 1,000 trades, make sure you take samples of data from different types of market.. ie 01, 03 and 06. Also be aware that we could be possibly phasing into a new type of volatility, so any system that has worked the past few years could possibly get whacked. With the performance report always cut profit in half and double the drawdown and see if you would still trade it .

Neet, I suggest trading more then 1 contract on the ym if you are so good.....

We aren't miss-behaving JB, we're just having a conversation about trading, that's all.

The offer still stands but I know a coward when I see one and right now a coward is what I see.

Sorry, that's misbehaving where I come from. But carry on.

Quote from Neet:

Thank you both for taking the time.

Writing everything down.

I start the journey in 2007 on paper and placing most of my cash in CDs until I am convinced I can or cant do futures profitably.

simply no class remarks here,,,typical of losers that abound here...i told u neet don't get to the truth here it will cost a lot of wasted time...porgie is a no trading paper trader....porgie is poor man....porgie has bad system....porgie is al l gibberish...but he sho did get u boys stirred today HUH.......too easy....thanks for the entertainment.......

Apex,

What gave you the idea that I trade just one contract ?

Neet

I'd be careful challenging Neet to a contest. I've been a PureTick member for 2 months and he (Neet) actually calls the trades he makes and you can see the results unfold before your eyes and its amazing how much he makes. If I could pick someone besides Alex of Puretick to learn from I would love to spend a day trading/learning with Neet a.k.a Anekdoten.

As far as the items you listed in your post Neet, that's all well and good, but you sure as hell don't have to pay money to get them.

If they are a good outfit, and you're referring traders who need to be there to them, well that's a good thing.

The cowardice comment, um, no.

I wouldn't give you or puretick the time-of-day, but if you want to make calls here, in a thread where you haven't been around but you just want to come in and start trash-talking, let's do it.

Any indice, any frame of refrence, any holding period.

Yeah, thought so. Later, time to get my drink on.

Good trading,

Jimmy Jam
