Quote from Buy1Sell2:

It will be a while before I add additional longs. I am comfortable here with my long position as it stands now. I was able to get some in at 1407 yesterday as I had mentioned. The 1437 entry was not fantastic, but quite honestly the move was nore than I thought it would be yesterday, so I ended up adding twice.:)
=====================
Dow Theory, which is quite helpful in many ways ,takes more than a few month to reverse main trend , which is up.
Long term real estate is still up many places.
Figured [not predicted] ES may hit 1500 in Feb, it did not.

200day moving average is up also.

In the past turtle traders used 20 day charts;
ES/SPY,QQQQ is down ,20day candles.

50dma,50 day charts,55 day charts are down.
:cool:

" averaging down to the low 1200s" and "there is no technical damage". You seem to be a great guy with alot of prior success posted here but these two statements/actions I find quite puzzling. Is it time to step away perhaps ? GLTA...

One other item: I am not saying it will get down there-- I will also add on further strength. I am just saying that this is the area in which I will work to build the position--between here and 1218.

Exactly! Takes a while in general. In 2000 , it took 8 to 9 months to reverse. By Sept 11, the trend was already down and had been for a year.

Yesterday was the first day that the shorts have not had control of the day since they wrestled it from the longs on Feb 15 and began building on the bid.

Every day since Feb 15 the shorts have continuously assembled their position until yesterday's "take profits"

Now here comes the fun bit.

Firstly ask yourself what day did Greenspan give his speech that triggered of the slide on the chinese market.

Now that you got that, ask yourself "what is the real root cause of Tuesday's selloff"
