Hedge Fund Performance Estimates: January 2006
by Peter Laurelli, CFA ,Research Analyst February 09, 2007

Early estimates show the HFN Hedge Fund Aggregate Average was +1.45% in January 2007, slightly below the S&P 500 TR which was +1.51%. An indication that managers may be taking a more cautionary stance entering the year is the fact that this January was the first year-opening month since 2001 in which the average hedge fund underperformed the S&P TR. Quote from Buy1Sell2:

March 10 yr chart-- bullish to me

No doubt slow time frames are bullish. But there is substantial risk (like there isn't anyway?!) , more than normal anyway, imo due to the duration. Personally, Im just cautious that one day we'll wake up and the slow charts will be broken. No bells or whistles. Of course some call that the wall of worry.

Play what you see,
Osorico :)

Analysis then of the 10 yr note is as follows. Lean on short signals on the daily chart but while the daily is bullish, only take longs.
I only offer the analysis here as it seems that some look to notes and bonds in relation to ES>

risks are still to the downside, the only thing that would make you go long the profit taking rally towards the close.

Price is:

1) below OR
2) 2 points above low of the day
3) Oil up/bonds down
4) Iran tensions
5) no news tomm
6) asian session negativity tonight
7) 20 points left to the downside on the cyclical waves

bonds just made another tick low.

This is a lot more info than I look at. I look at the charts and indicators only. I wouldn't know the first thing about interpreting most of those.
