Quote from JimmyJam:

There you have it. Trading processes which are:

1. Virtually totally automated and probably based on patterns which have existed since markets started trading centuries ago.
Porgie, myself

2. Almost purely technically based, also using knowledge which has existed since those fabled rice traders of yore.
Vol_00, Orisco, maybe Apex

Ya that was pretty close. But I am definately just as much as #1 as I am #2. I run 5 automated systems everyday on the er2 to diversify my trades, generate more profits and create a smoother equity curve.

How can you pass on an equity curve like this?

apex stopped in the chat room the other day and was discouraged when he ran into a couple non-believers, apex ended the session by giving the chatters a farewell posted as..............FUCKERS.......... :D

Apex is #1 and he wants you all to know it. It is all about HIM. The good news is after a while many will also see pretend trades were after the fact. Can apex call some good levels? Sure, most of us can. Can apex trade those levels and constantly catch high, low tick as he claims? HA, lots of luck.

Apex be done with it. If you are so good as you claim, start that web site as you intend to do and the money will flow to you. Surely as good as you want everyone to think you are the TOP dollars will flow in. No one as good as you are should be so benevolent. RIGHT?

Apex....are you saying your systems generated over 5,000 trades during the period.....alot, lol.
Did you write this software? i wrote a few systems for tradestation, but not so many trades.

I don't actually get what your VIX/SPX comparison was showing.

From the charts that I'm looking at 1200 is much more likely than 1550 or the Spooz.

Not that any of this information is tradeable in a meaningful fashion on an intra-day level, it isn't.

Here's the SPX.

tops in market happen with emotion and volatility preceding them or in the midst of them. During a period of increased volatility a lull occurs, then volatility increases as the prices collapse. Same thing with bottoms.

I sense a lot of cautious optimism in the public, regarding equities, on ET its just a small fringe of the population. The collapse has to start overseas and it may gain traction here leading to increased volatility.

Too many markets have opened up overseas, secondary to liberal policies. India, China, Russia, and East European Bloc.
