You guys need to shut up and trade. There are many ways to skin a cat, each to his own. Just took out profit target 1 here at 796.50 for 8pts per contract. $16k. Holding second unit short with BE stop looking for 793-794. Initial position was a 1pt stop.

Yeah, you're right if you can make money on range bound days, which I figured before the opening bell we were going to have to day. I like to catch trends, so I can't, so ...

You've been reading what romik has been doing, correct? He is increasing size as the market goes in the same direction as the initial trade? I must have misread him for the last few pages. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I had assumed when someone writes "intraday trade/trader", it's usually meant that they open and close their trades within the same session. For a moment I thought that you were confused because some here might hold losers overnight as well.

But it must be me -- I'll go with your own definition that any trade that takes place within market hours as an "intraday" trade. I'm gracious to you for correcting my misuse of the term.

Turtle traders were intraday traders -- you learn something new every day.

Switch-hitting doesn't preclude him from holding overnights, particularly with the low-risk method he's employing of using an extremely high performance bond per contract traded.

I sure as heck hope he doesn't feel that he has to tell us everything on a public trading board!

Um, what exactly is your point illiquid ...?

You don't like the fact that the guy has figured out a way to make money for himself, don't like his tax-advantaged trading status, don't like that he has all this money to play with ... what, what is it?

Oh, I see, you think you know everything.

Romik and I were debating the merits and/or faults of adding size only on reversal of losing trades.

You've come into the conversation offering these statements:

1) Romik trades a variation of the Turtle Method, in which he adds to his initial position as it goes his way.

2) The Turtle Traders were intraday traders because they opened their trades during market hours.

Is there anything else you'd like to offer? Please continue -- far from knowing everything, I'm getting quite the education from you. God bless the internet.

WHAT AN EDUCATION TO BE FOUND HERE.....i MEAN WHAT? AN EDUCATION TO BE FOUND HERE ....JUST KIDDING ILLIQUID THEY DON'T TOLERATE CRITICISM HERE, ESPECIALLY THE CONSTRUCTIVE KIND.........ONLY THEY CAN GIVE THE REAL STUFF AS THEY TRULY HAVE A LL THE GOO D ANSERS

Yes, that's an edge which we in the US couldn't imagine having because it ain't gonna ever exist.

Once you factor that into the equation, it gives a substantial edge to any method which simply doesn't lose money.

hmmm...yes, i see your point.
