I see and agree. I am only looking very short term though and it's just ideas...

:)

What I am looking to do is enter the ES on strength here. Thus I am dropping my buy stop gradually until hit.

Is your decision to enter long on strength instead of on weakness dependent on anything?

It's just a different type of intraday play in the direction of the predminant trend.

Hello Romik,
I have been using 5 minute grails on a line chart as you previosly advised. Still having difficulty getting the entry as it is forming. Any advice?
thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan,

I do not necessarily recommend a 5 min chart to trade round all day long, for initial entry perhaps yes. If you look back at the test of a 5min grail, though results were good, one might face a problem of a visual recognition of patterns that present themselves, previously mentioned by Bilp in another thread. You know the pattern, if you find 5 minute TF not too tradable, try another TF like 15. What I have found to be very beneficial is using 5-15 min TFs as trigger points for an entry, though direction is taken of the hourly chart. Thanks to B1S2 who keeps us in check :) we are aware of markets still being in a bull mode, so maybe it would be better if you wait for hourly long signal to appear and use a 3 min chart for entry. All the best!

Stoped in long at 1406.50.

So far, I have bought the high with the "stop in" strategy today. Time will tell now-- Patience required to trade with me.
