Romik, you may be correct from a broad perspective on the daily chart. 1262.50 is certainly the most recent reaction low. It may be prudent to place stops below that number. Either for exit or entry.

actually 1262.50 has held support on an earlier occasion.

Quote from BoyBrutus:

There is nothing else I would rather do than look at the monitors and tape all day. If you want some adrenalin to start the day, trade the ER2 in the first 30 minutes. I can usually make my profit target on this and lose it even faster. seriously I am finding it very profitable and I'm using the hotkeys to trade it fast

I am finding the ER2 gives some good bang for the buck with many daytraders providing good volatility. also a favorite of Steve46 and nihabaashi?

I guess I used to like that and don't get me wrong I do enjoy the thrill of closing a trade after 60 seconds holding time, that's great, but I am finding trying to fish out every single possible opportunity a bit tiresome and time restrictive, I mean if that makes a great return - no questions asked, as money is money. I just mainly trade my 15min TF and hold longer TF based positions. Nice call on the Long BTW, doesn't matter if you got stopped. Did you attempt a 2nd entry on that call?

Its not for the love of money but to measure who is better at this game. Who can squeeze more juice from the orange? At the same time to effectively limit risk. Theres not much else to do in the early hours in OZ so honing my trading skills is what I do. To trade on the edge and use all your wits to make decisions. What I sometimes see on the tick charts and tape cannot be seen on the minute charts and theres still plenty I dont see and need to learn.

Some have a very effective system, like Spike but you can see his emotional detachment in a way makes the whole game boring. I plan to do this for a very long time, they'll have to carry me away. :D

By the way when I first started posting here in early May one of those days I thought to myself I dont know what the F@@K I'm doing, but things have improved since then and this journal has helped to spur many new thoughts etc.

I missed the meat of that move. But am looking at today either ending in an Uptrend day or less likely an afternoon reversal on the test or near test of high.

At the end of the day you have to trade whats suited to your personality. Keep it up :)

If you look at the ES range from top to bottom its 12 points so assuming one was lucky enough to catch all that, thats $600

On the ER2 its also about 12 points at roughly the same time so on one contract its $1200 for that move and the same commissions.

But if holding over night I understand how the ES has better liquidity.

Any comments?

Scaled out 1285, stop at BE. Next profit target 1283.50 if it goes under yesterdays high we should get a good breakdown.

Edit: I am holding this short, I think we are near a top, Naz R2K at new highs Es lags and YM barely above Yesterdays high.
