That is why I take some off immediately at 2 points profit. I trade fairly large size and nothing is worse then seeing some decent profit and then taking a full loss. I was not able to be consistent until I learned how to scale out properly. For me, it is much less stressful and enables me to stay in the zone.

Once again, this is what works for me. I could possibly make more money hanging on to full size for a large run but it would be a lot more stressful I and would not achieve 85%+ winners.

No not the same. As in many other areas, the 80/20 rule also applies in trading/investing. Best this way I suppose, for I would not want to hit an equilibrium point in my trading. Spend some time validating what was taught in this forum by B1S2.

As I say, just passing through, but I do not understand what you are getting at.

How are you applying the 80/20 to your trading?
Why would you hit an equilibrium point?
I would have thought that you are walking up your lot size all the time.

I must be thick but I cannot see the specifics in your comments. Can you stretch them out a bit for me please.

you will see 80/20 rule wherever you look. 20% of the population controls 80% of the wealth, 80% of your profits will come from 20% of your trades, 80% of a companies sales will come from 20% of the sales force, 20% of traders in the market will make 80% of the money.

So 80% of the time you should exit after reaching 20% of your profit target? :)

I don't think these are the specifics he is asking about.
