3 stocks falling for every one rising, yet, bulls are mounting, rounding the swing and popping up. It's a contrary day. The markets are out of sync.

All in all a good day to preserve capital.

Quote from kinggyppo:

should woulda coulda is one of the worst habits a trader can have. Next time maybe trade small size to test the market.
The reason it is such a bad habit is that it becomes all about being right which leads to arrogance about the market. Epistemic humility as Taleb says. Good trading!

edit: I didn't notice that others responded trader psychology is important.

this morning i took the trade and it worked, barely reaching my set point before plummeting...unbelievable.

How many guys would have listened to their significant other in the same situation ... not too many, that's fer sure.

Food for thought.

lol...ya, i never ask him for advice. but i guess i did it b/c i wanted an excuse not to take the trade, or i wanted to abdicate responsibility if i did...either way, i'm over it now. on to the next trade!

I'm not here to start a debate about whether gaps fill.
I am simply stating a fact.

ESU has gap still open 1237.25 to 1235.00 established on open of 7/29 trade.

Interestingly enough that's exactly where StDev indicates from 1290 to be oversold.

Note too that should it fill, the very last bull trendline to be beaten and made resistance is 45. I'd like to see how it reacts before thinking about getting back in one way or another.

Quote from MandelbrotSet:

The ES is sitting on the S1 pivot.

Should hold might hold maybe.

Wait for buy confirmation from whatever you use to determine a trend.

Later

Edit: Uploaded correct chart.
Looks like Support his holding on the ES and the Buyers are coming in on the YM and NQ.
