Quote from smilingsynic:

Sold 1/4 of DIA position (IRA) at 11014 YM (triple top--Wyckoff upthrust off of yesterday's close--me being chicken).

Sold 1/4 more at 11075. Picture perfect bearish wedge. Rest of position moved to BE.

socialist policies...

market wont look kindly on that...the initial reaction purely reflexive.

reminds me of '87, politicians meddling with financial markets.

Stop moved so if ES hits 1223 again, the position will be exited.

Why?

Simply put, 1224.75 is yesterday's low (day session). If the market cannot even stay up in yesterday's range, there is little hope it can reach higher ground.

At 1:49 EST, the market surged off of that level, so there is hope for now, but if that does not hold, I have no reason to stay.

"these are not intended to be intraday trades."

Professor best to walk away. If you think this is a market low, then given the volatility seen in prior lows you need to give it some room. I'm not talking about BE either.

Bounced of yesterday's close and then went back down below yesterday's range. Out.

Yes, I am walking away. 55 points ES (per, not net).

Longer term, I have enough exposure; but when it comes to futures, I do best short-term. For longer term, I prefer options.

Good luck to you. :)
