Certainly the mood is bullish right at the moment for daytrading. Be careful though as we are still in a downtrend. Doesn't mean you can't trade long on the right time frame. Good fortune to all.

Jobless claims still under 400k a week. Relating the claims to older data is actually a mistake. To file a claim for benefits the laidoff worker must first be eligible. Corps in the last decade have hired many "contract workers" and when a contract worker gets led to the door with a slap on the butt he/she is NOT able to go file a claim like in the past. FWIW other ways also to keep the person from getting bennies. Many ecomonists are dam sharp but many still are reading outdated statistics in this global economy.

EDIT: Same deal relates to jobs lost. We exported most of the product producing jobs.

there is a underlying fear and emaciation going on in the workplace....

everyone is looking over their shoulder to see if their department will be next...

state budgets running thin, and services being removed..

Opening on a few R numbers, compound with not a great deal higher up (my methods). Will this ceiling become support? (flip side is an S number 20). Long - odds dwindling,,,,

There was some discussion of money management making a losing system into a winning system, which is certainly can. However, I think other parties are saying that with different money managment, then it's a different system. So it's semantics. That's fine. Either way, my point is very valid. Suffice it to say, that money management can take a losing series of entries and exits (a system) that are losers, and by altering them perhaps ever so slightly, make the entries and exits a winning series. This is common sense. This is the only true edge in trading. Money management is the single most important aspect of trading, not the entries and exits and being right. You seldom hear of someone blowing their account by taking the wrong side of the market. It is generally (probably always) that they stayed with the wrong side of the market way too long etc. Good fortune to all.
