Are you setting a trail? Just curious what your exit strategy is.

I was going to keep moving it 1/4 point or 2 below the previous 5-min bar...seemed like "they" squeezed a lot of us out.

+1

Better than nothing, we probably should have exited at the 23% retracement since most rallies today were short lived...it hit it right on the button.

Yes, greed took me over again. Not taking gains and overtrading are two things I NEED to stop. Took a 6.75 point loss today. Granted, I AM just getting started so it's my lesson cost.

You just have to wait for the right opportunity. I'm also new to ES, like today I went long before FOMC, nice rally, but I wanted it to run and so I put a stop below the 15-min, well the pull back spanned the 15-min and my could have been +10 turned into +2 or so. I'm not trading anymore than 1 contract, have to learn discipline, thats why I couldn't have scaled out. But +10 was big, I should have taken that....

Oh well...tomorrow.

That made me want to attempt another long though reducing position size, as it was mainly bearish p/a most of the day and I didn't want to give back earlier gain. I would have liked to see Buy1Sell2 getting his wallet out about there, signal was alright? :) (1 min histo trigger).
