basically whats happening.. the thousands of contracts bought to start the short covering rally... are being distributed to free up the cash.

that cash can be used to move the market with momentum in the future. Freeing up reserves. A lot of people are still caught short, so price has trouble going lower, since the people caught act as support for the market, when ever the market tries to move down..buying comes in.
