The past hour has all the earmarks of a bear flag: steady plodding advance on very low volume. I'm on the lookout for a downside breakout, but hopefully not until we get to somewhere between 1438 and 1441.

Feels to me like you're committing one of my favorite sins on days like this: overtrading. It takes iron will to sit on the sidelines patiently waiting for that perfect setup. Apex is the master at this; I still succumb to my destructive urges to jump in.
You're right. And I can't see straight today.

For the past 45 minutes, ES has been in a "chop formation" that might be okay for a scalper but is pretty useless for hitting doubles and homeruns. I'm sitting on my hands.
I completely agree. I wish I could at times be flexible enough to switch between a scalper and a trader, but I find this very challenging. More often than not, I end up giving back my profits. How do you cope with this?

yep pretty much sitting on my hands... only had one short today on the es so far and a couple on the er2....

This is what I am looking for if I could tell the market what to do :)

that`s precisley what i`m looking at.......kiss of the 15min/coinciding with the gap open.......@ 27.50 area......may act a catapult price zone that could put us over 50 in relitively short time.

15/30 displaying goodlooking IHS`s..........

as time passes... the channel moves down... offering a lower touch point...

1440...around 12:30

1440 ..around 12:30.

1430 around 1:30 next....as long as channel holds.
