back. Nice day. Should have held ym in hindsight, but there ya go. Couldn't turn down such a fast 300 points profit
Holding other longs, will possibly add soon. They likely 'change' soon as they take it in turns to ramp. So today was ym. I'd imagine tomorrow or the next day it's maybe the NQ that puts in a mega ramp!

I wonder what affect options expiration will have, if any, on the short term indexes? Is it having an affect right now?

Spent the afternoon doing some visual review of the YM. It does seem tamer than the NQ, and more resolute in general than the ES.

YM and NQ have the same $5 tick size, but that is a tamer tick on the YM than the NQ judging by my eye.

God only knows the 'why' in regards to the rotations in and out of different indicies. I certainly don't lol.
I just tend to play the patterns and try to exploit them under the assumption that they tend to carry on until i'm proven wrong
For a long time now, that's been to buy dips. The market will 'V' like a bat out of hell on any half decent drop. They take it in turns every 3 days or so to 'lead' the way up. And the chances of all 3 of them going down hard at the same time on a day is as rare as hens teeth which is why I often buy all three (once one of them has put in a dip) with the idea that if we are having one of those very rare 'weak days' on the market in general, one of them indicies will likely still moon and bail me out!! (that includes RTY in fairness, but I don't look at that)

I don't really have a favourite though, or anything. I don't think one is much 'easier' than the other for example. They all drive me nuts at different times!

I've not been checking in as much the last few days as it seems politics has come out its borrow and infiltrated the main pages of the forum. I try to keep that stuff as far out of my mind as I can.

That's the way it works! Congrats LF!

Not to steal thunder, June and now July are now personal bests! Kicker is last week I decided it was time to bump account size and trade size, effectively double. I began with the new parameters yesterday, Monday. As you know, YM has been my thang for some time now. It's fine no-one believes! :)

Congrats again LF! Rinse and repeat.
