ES Journal - 2023/2024

Premarket and RTH gave me a couple of opportunities. Net result is +8 points. Probably going to call it quits for the day.

I trade breakouts and reversals at former daily highs and lows and weekly highs and lows. I also use the globex open as a possible breakout or reversal or take profit level thanks to following @Laissez Faire. If the ES is in a breakout situation at the RTH open as it was today - it broke out above last week's high in the premarket - I will wait for the first pullback on the five minute chart, and then trade in the direction of the breakout when the move seems to be getting set to continue. I am in a scalper mentality for now and I take profit at either a preset amount such as +3 points or +5 points or at the most recent high of day. I will reevaluate my scalper approach when I accumulate a few thousand more in profits.

Could be. I just went long at 26.50, but I may be too early and will scratch it at 24. It's a weak dip into Friday's high so far.

Don't like to push the long side here after such a big move, but the market seems to be holding up well so far and it's still a crazy bull market. :)

Maybe 45 or 50 if we make new highs.

If I'm stopped, I may take one last long around 22, but I lucked out pre-market, so not pushing it today.
 
ES was the stronger one this morning while NQ was pulling back. Now it's the other way around with ES kind of stuck and NQ mooning as usual, LOL.

Let's see if big brother can pick up now, too. :)
