ES Journal - 2023/2024

I ordered two, one for home office, one for work office.

When in Doubt Go Long Mug.jpg

i'm getting beaten up now on my ym's and added a good few times (max adding/position)
Luckily NQ is kicking ass for me
Leaving them both to play out for now.
Shame I missed the ES long earlier as that would have made it a nice day overall.
But as it stands i'm long 2 instruments, 1 very nice, and 1 being a pain in the a$$

Friday should be interesting.

Yes.

You do anything in crude oil these days? If I'm not mistaken, you were trading that one quite a bit back in the day and I know it was the most popular instrument among many day traders on ET during a period of very low volatility in indices.

These days low volatility in indices doesn't seem to be much of a problem anyway as the nominal index values have become so high.

I dabbled a bit in crude oil myself, but haven't looked at it in ages.

It's on my watch list, but I'm looking at it for longer moves and so far I haven't seen anything I like.

If/when the situation in the Middle East goes back to its normal level of shittiness, I'll be looking for a months-long short.

For intraday, etc., with my broker (IB) is not worth it, considering the ridiculously high margin (almost 18000 USD - who does it think it is, the NQ? :D)

Welcome grinding-up-day
