It seems I had an uncancelled bracket order hanging open in the market when news hit.
I thank my lucky starts for quick reflexes and the fact that the market let me out with more than double my typical target.
I think I am done for the day. I heard the "stop filled" as the bar blew up and my heart is still booming from the adrenaline hit.
I don't want to post the chart as the trade was not at all according to my plan. The prop firm warned me when I signed up that Tradovate will do this from time to time (fail to cancel an unfilled bracket order, or even fail to cancel one side of the bracket) and that I should always hit "exit all and cancel" but I forgot to do so at some point.
Here is the closed profit for the day. I take no credit for it.
