ES Journal - 2023/2024

I should have listened to my gut. Took two premarket trades after all, and dead wrong on both. Took the breakout a couple of minutes after the open, and winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Somehow netted a profit of just over 5 points.

That is my current plan, to see if I can discipline myself to stop trading if I find my losses at -10 points, or my profits at +5. May seem backwards to some, but my losses relative to my profits tend to be very, very small. I don't think I have had a 10 point or more drawdown since I settled myself down after blowing a bunch of sim accounts.

The 6.24.2024 high at 5558.50, and up to 5588, the all time high. If I were swinging a long I'd be using those as my targets.

5551.75 was yesterday's high and that is where there seems to be some interest in selling for now.

I'm switching to global sim mode and I'll be a spectator for an hour or so.

Unless we break 5550 with force, I fear we may end up with another meh-lateral day like yesterday, with people on the sidelines before tomorrow's PCE.

Hard to say. Not at my trading rig, so just watching through TradingView. Maybe 5565 if the LOD holds and we take out the current RTH high.
 
hope you're all catching some moves!
Been a bit busy with stuff recently (watching euros, drinking, work etc)
Been playing with them core positions posted before this whole time though, adding on dips and covering on pops. Gone quite well, initially thanks to YM and recently thanks to NQ! Seems there's always something that wants to go up lots! ES has been the only one treading water for me.
Gone flat the whole position (NQ, ES, YM) earlier on. Was a good 'trade' over all.
Trying to get back to slightly more 'day trading' as opposed to that 'swing long and add to losers' style a little here, despite how successful it always seems to be! lol

Only one trade today. Tried long on the dip. Missed the entry I actually wanted (a few points lower)/ Probably putting stop a few points below entry

No one is salivating lol. We've all seen this same move 1000 times. I will say this again. Nothing will survive the V machine. How can anyone actually think any drop has even a chance of surviving. Totally laughable.
